MMR's built for specific production types
  • Unique Master Manufacturing Record for Dry goods production
  • Unique Master Manufacturing Record for Liquid production
  • Unique Master Manufacturing Record for Gummy/Gelatin production

All products are unique. But are your Master Manufacturing Records (MMR) unique per the product type? Your ERP software should create Master Manufacturing Records that are specifically tailored to the product. If not, you are either missing vital information or possibly out of compliance. The Virtual Office enterprise ERP software (VO) provides unique MMR’s built for specific production types like Liquids, Powders, Tablets, Gummies, Capsules and Sample Packets.

The examples below will contain images from quotes or editing quotes. These will all eventually turn into an MMR in the end. The process flow is as such:
Quote > Order > MMR > BPR

Lets start with a Gummy Production Type

With a Gummy production job type there is a very important value known as Brix. Knowing and anticipating this value can greatly help the expected results from your production run. VO will automatically calculate and display this value after you have entered in the ingredients into a quote. This calculation will allow you to accurately know the final Brix percentage as well as the Brix weight in MG immediately. See the screenshot below – click the screenshot to expand for better viewing if needed. The inputs seen in the screenshot below are specific to a Gummy job type and will only be present when creating a quote for gummies.

Liquid Product Type

A liquid production job type is another unique item that will contain specific input values. These values are Color, pH and pH min/max. You may also notice that the servings input is now set as “Desired ML.P.S” (Desired Milliliter Per Serving). The pH input is the desired or optimum value and the min/max inputs allow for a plus or minus range from the desired value. This information is displayed on the printed documentation used for MMR’s.  See the screenshot below – click the screenshot to expand for better viewing if needed. The inputs seen in the screenshot below are specific to a Liquid job type and will only be present when creating a quote for Liquids.

Tablet, Powder, Capsules and Packets

The dry production job types like powders, capsules, tablets and sample packets will all share the same base quote layout. Quotes created for dry job types are the most commonly used and do not contain any specific inputs between the associated job types. While this is the base layout for all quotes each job type can be customized our initial software setup process for your company. See the screenshot below – click the screenshot to expand for better viewing if needed. These inputs are specific to all dry ingredient job types and will only be present when creating a quote for powders, capsules, tablets and packets.
